Friends of Sachse Parks and Recreation is a newly formed 501(c)(3), non-profit organization in Sachse, Texas

Our Vision
We envision a Sachse Park System that provides programs and facilities to promote the social, cultural and recreational well-being of all residents of the city of Sachse.
Our History
In 2010 Sachse Released a Parks and Open Space Master Plan that helped to determine Sachse's Parks needs in comparison to the DFW Standards. The analysis was done with Sachse's population at 18,750.

The next update to the City of Sachse Parks and Open Space Master plan is planned to start in 2015. Since the last update Sachse population has increased by approximately 4500 residents (24%).
As you can imagine the Park situation needs our attention ...
Hence The Friends of Sachse Parks and Recreation was formed!!!!!!
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to support the City of Sachse Parks and Recreation Department, in providing programs and facilities to promote the social, cultural and recreational well-being of all residents of the city of Sachse. Our key objective is to enhance the Sache Park systems by providing a medium for all citizens of Sachse to band together to promote and build a world class park system that will make this great city just a litte bit better.
Among our activities we perform in pursuit of our object are:
- Advocate for the Sachse Parks and Recreation
- Provide Volunteer Opportunities for City Sponsored Events ( Pumpkin Prowl, Cookies with Santa, Red, White and Blue Blast, ...)
- Tax Deductible Fundraising for Sachse Park Enhancements by
- Membership Drives
- Receiving Tax Deductible Bequests
- Crowd-funding Campaigns
- Applying and Receiving Community Engagement Grants
