Sachse Park Pals Donation Agreement

Sachse Park Pals is a 501 (c) (3) designated park advocacy organization dedicating to preserving, protecting, and improving Sachse’ s parks for all citizens.  Sachse Park Pals was created to increase private and public commitment to Sachse’s  park system.  Raising funds to maintain the parks and championing these parks can be achieved most effectively through partnerships between city government and the parks’ users and beneficiaries.  Sachse Park Pals  collaborates with the City of Sachse’s Park and Recreation Department, while maintaining its own independence.

Sachse Park Pals selects Sachse Park enhancemment projects proposed by its membership by majority vote.  Once a project is selected, Sachse Park Pals works as an intermediary organizing public support and coordinating with the City of Sachse or other local cities to implement the park enhancement.

There are two methods to support the Sachse Park Pals park enhancements:

  1. Pledge of Support: Donor complete the donation form and select method of payment as pledge. Pledges are recorded but not paid until the Sachse City Council approves the project being proposed. If the City Council does not approve the project the pledges are cancelled. Sachse Park Pals will contact the donor once the City Council approves or rejects the project.

    • If proposed project approved, an invoice will be sent to the donor to complete the tax-deductible donation.

    • If proposed project rejected, Sachse Park Pals will cancel the pledges and notify the respective donors.

  2. Direct Tax-Deductible Donations: Donors complete the donation form and select method of payment as pledge.  If the project is approved the funds are allocated to the project, if the project is not approved, the funds are redirected to an approved project.

    • If proposed project approved, the tax-deductible donatoin is applied to the project

    • If proposed project rejected, Sachse Park Pals  will reallocate the funds to an approved Sachse Park enhancement project.
